Opened in March 2019, Cafe Gummo is a loud and proud dive bar in the heart of Thornbury, Naarm/Melbourne, that has grown into a much-loved, community-driven live music venue. Strictly anti-fascist and pro-LGBTQIA+, Cafe Gummo has become a uniquely safe and inclusive space for punters and performers alike. The venue hosts live music of all genres, from your favourite local punk bands to experimental noise shows and regular drag performances, up to six nights a week. Cafe Gummo prioritises accessibility and inclusion, with $5 vegan meals on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, $6 pints on Hospo Night, and plenty of fundraisers and Free for Mob events.
